Courtney brings more than a decade of litigation experience to the employment law and civil litigation practice at Vasseghi Law Group. She has represented clients before trial and appellate courts in both the United States and Canada as well as before tax tribunals and regulatory boards.
As former Senior Director and In-house Legal Counsel for a global commercial real estate services firm, Courtney has experience with internal investigations, risk management and compliance matters. In addition to having in-house knowledge of the business impact of litigation, she is well-versed in alternative dispute resolution for clients seeking confidential, time and cost-efficient settlement outside of the courtroom.
Courtney has a B.A. from McGill University and obtained her J.D. and LL.B. through the Canadian-US Dual J.D. program at Michigan State University College of Law and the University of Ottawa.
Courtney is committed to advancing equality and currently serves on the Board of Women Lawyers on Guard, Inc., where she is Co-Chair of the Amicus Committee. She also serves on the Phillips Collection Gala Committee to raise support for free community-based art programs at Phillips@THEARC.
